Learn more about Ken Reiker and a few of his inventions:
- The problem: dangerous and difficult ceiling fan installation. Initially, installing a ceiling fan required a climb into a hot, dangerous attic to install a support beam. Ken invented a floor level installation kit that became the UL and NEC ceiling fan safety standard and is still used today. Called the Super Fan Brace, it is one of twenty-four products that make up Reiker’s chandelier and ceiling fan support line.
- The problem: isn’t there a faster way to wire a house? Ken recently patented an all in one receptacle box that uses continuous wiring. This new product will cut the time it takes to wire a house in half.
- The problem: an inefficient way to draw blood. At the age of twenty he invented the first vacuum syringe that did not require a mechanical draw system.
- The problem: need for additional retail display space. Reiker also designed a double-sided medallion, which doubles the amount of inventory that can be displayed in a space.
